Current Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteers are crucial to the Fundraising department and to our organization. Our list of current volunteer positions changes periodically according to the needs of our programs. In addition to the positions listed below, if you have skills that could benefit one of our programs, please let us know by e-mailing Caroline Sneath at carolinesneath@oolagen.org.
Fundraising
We need help in a number of different ways, for example, helping out at events, representing Oolagen at community events, doing administrative work in the office or writing notes for our website. If you're interested in becoming a volunteer fundraiser please contact Caroline Sneath at carolinesneath@oolagen.org.
Part-time Volunteer Website Manager (2)
Monitor and maintain self-managed website. Assist in production and posting of on-line items, answer email inquiries and train new volunteers. Under the overall supervision of the Executive Director, responsible on a day to day basis to the Director of Development
QUALIFICATIONS – Experience using computers and in on-line research.
JOB DETAILS -
- Monitor and answer incoming on-line inquiries. Directing inquires to appropriate staff members.
- Maintain and update on-line information as required.
- Post on-line stories.
- Assist in training new volunteers.
- Other related duties as required.
Volunteer Student Reporter (3)
Research and write articles for and about youth for publication on Oolagen’s website. Under the overall supervision of the Director of Development.
QUALIFICATIONS – Journalism skills and on-line savvy.
JOB DETAILS -
- Research and write items of current interest to youth.
- Maintain and update on-line information as required.
- Work with web-site volunteers to coordinate and post on-line stories.
- Assist in training new volunteers.
- Other related duties as required.
